About the conference
South Australian Exploration & Mining Conference (SAEMC) is an annual collaborative event that brings together both the exploration and mining industries in South Australia.
Now in its 21st year, it is an opportunity for active mineral explorers and miners to present succinct technical updates of their activities on their flagship South Australian mines and exploration projects.

Organisation
The conference is organised by a voluntary committee representing the local branches of professional associations (AIG, ASEG, AusIMM and GSA). Representatives from the South Australian Department of Energy and Mining (DEM) and the University of Adelaide have also joined the committee.
The Conference registration fees are kept low to encourage a broad attendance and the modest surplus are intended to be invested in student-related activities in the local professional associations.
The Venue
The Adelaide Convention Centre is an international-class facility providing quality and excellence situated in the heart of the Adelaide city centre. The Adelaide Convention Centre is conveniently located on North Terrace and nestled within the beauty of the Riverbank Precinct, surrounded by parklands and the River Torrens.
Within close proximity to the entertainment, cultural and sport precinct, the Centre is a short walk to international and boutique hotels and accommodation. Public transport, the Adelaide Railway Station and a taxi ramp are all on its doorstep.
The international airport is just seven kilometres from the Centre, making a quick and economic taxi ride.
